Gary Pendleton, Senior Advisor
Gary Pendleton began his career in the car industry in 1976 as manager of the New Car Prep and Used Car Detail at Honda of Pasadena in California. During this time, Honda Of Pasadena was the largest volume dealership of Honda products in the world. Gary installed a complete tunnel car wash system at the dealership which washed more more than four hundred cars a day. According to American Honda's own CSI program, Gary maintained a 98% satisfaction rating of their customers under his management.
In 1985, Gary bought his own car wash facility near Palm Springs, California, where within a span of just two years, he increased the average volume from 50 cars to almost 200 cars daily.
In 1990, Gary started a successful mobile detailing service in Pasadena, California. Shine Forever Professional Auto Detailing was based in the San Gabriel Valley and provided complete detailing services for Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
In 1993, Gary returned to operating and managing car wash facilities in numerous locations throughout southern California. He has been the General Manager of Wilshire West Car Wash and Detailing Center in Santa Monica, California since 1999, where he has increased the average 'dollar per car' from $11.46 to $19.50, with an average volume of nearly 400 cars a day.
